Local Food Producer & Buyer Networking Event

January 26, 2022

This is for local producers interested in selling to wholesale buyers such as restaurants, grocery stores, and schools. It is also for employees of restaurants, grocery stores, and schools. You will have the chance to connect with everyone that attends.

9-11 a.m. IN-PERSON

Note: Do not bring outside food or drink. Coffee will be provided.

Farming the Web: Social Media Workshop

January 29, 2022

This workshop is for specialty crop block farmers who want to learn more about social media and incorporate the Grow.Eat.Play brand. The workshop will be taught by Ash Bruxvort, Amethyst Content Marketing, who specializes in messaging for specialty and niche farmers. 

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Location: Waterloo Center for the Arts

Masks encouraged.

Applications due by January 10, 2022

2022 Farm to School Grant Program Request for Applications (RFA) is now available! FNS seeks to award up to $12 million this fiscal year. Please see the RFA for full details. Eligible applicants include:

  • Eligible schools
  • Institutions operating the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
  • State and local agencies
  • Indian Tribal Organizations
  • Small- to medium-sized agricultural producers/groups
  • Non-profit organizations
